Since joining the Lake County Storm Water district in 2012, we have modified the outlet structures of three retention basins within the Parkway Estates development.
These upgrades to our storm water system are designed to help during heavy rain periods. The basins are now able to hold more water thus reducing the potential for flooding downstream.
The Village Road Department recently conducted a creek rehabilitation and tree removal in the creek behind Safford Street to alleviate flooding in the area during heavy rains.
The Village Road Department constantly monitors the creeks, ditches and sanitary sewer grates to make sure they are free of debris and flowing properly.
